The crow knew that he had been tricked. He wished he had not made friends with the peacock.
Poor crow! There was nothing he could do now.
Whenever the crow thought about his soft, white feathers, he felt sad.
Many birds came to comfort him, and he was happy again.
As for the peacock, he went on living alone.
No bird wanted to befriend him. They knew how proud and selfish he was.
Now you know why crows have black feathers.
